Six Flags Over Georgia

Six Flags Over Georgia, located only 10 minutes from Douglasville, is a 100-acre park with awesome rides, great shows, and incredible attractions. Opening in spring and closing in the Fall of each year, Six Flags is a great place to bring the family for a full day of fun. Sweetwater Creek State Park

Sweetwater Creek State Park is a peaceful tract of wilderness only minutes from downtown Atlanta. A wooded trail follows the stream to the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, a textile mill burned during the Civil War. Beyond the mill, the trail climbs rocky bluffs to provide views of the beautiful rapids below. Additional trails wind through fields and forest. Park rangers lead informative hikes to these areas throughout the year. The 215-acre George Sparks Reservoir is popular with anglers and provides a pretty setting for feeding ducks and picnicking. During warmer months, the park rents fishing boats, canoes and pedal boats. An award-winning Visitor Center—one of the most environmentally responsible buildings in the country—features exhibits on the area’s history, wildlife displays, trail maps, snacks and a gift shop.

West Pines Golf Club

West Pines is the single best golfing value in metro Atlanta. The course features, four sets of tees to ensure an enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels, a full practice range and putting green. Of particular interest is the feel of the golf course which features rolling hills and numerous wooded areas. With several adjoining fairways, the West Pines golf course has plenty of room to play and offers beautiful vistas throughout the round.

Thunderzone

Thunderzone is a family entertainment facility located in Douglasville, Ga. They offer activities such as bowling, arcade, laser tag and bumper cars. Their in house restaurant and bar, JR's, features indoor and outdoor seating with billiard tables, darts and corn hole.

Ike Lee and her team with Proof of the pudding have done another outstanding job for our corporate event. These banquets could not be done in a more professional manner than this wonderful group. Each year I get great feedback from all the guests (250+) each year. Not only is the service top notch, the food is very well received. Proof of the Pudding catered my wedding recently and I can't brag enough about the fabulous service!! Our company has been using Proof of the Pudding as our event caterer's for years. The food is always delicious, and the staff is professional and reliable. Catering Sales Manager, Ike, is very quick to respond to catering requests, and extremely knowledgeable in menu choices. Proof of the Pudding has a vast menu of delectable food items that are perfect for any occasion. I would recommend this company to anyone searching for professional catering!

"Proof of the Pudding was great! I have all great things to say about my experience! The food was great! I had the roasted thyme chicken with the garlic mashed potatoes! Everyone loved it! "What can I say about Douglasville Conference Center? Jennifer, the Director of Conference Center Operations is AMAZING. I seriously love her. My husband and I decided in May 2014 that we wanted to get married July 2014. We seriously planned a wedding from start to finish in two months. The conference center was our first choice. The place is so beautiful and Jennifer and everyone else who works there are so nice and welcoming. We had an awesome wedding at an affordable price. I have nothing but positive comments for this place. We used a section of the ballroom for our ceremony and half of the ballroom for our reception. We had 100 guests and they fit comfortably in both areas. I think the one con (if you consider it a con) is that you do not get to pick your own caterer. They work exclusively with Proof of the Pudding (who were also pretty good). No real complaints about Proof of the Pudding, although I would have just liked to have the option of choosing from maybe a few more caterers because of budgetary stuff. All in all we had a beautiful wedding, great food, and we didn't completely break the bank."
